Peek-A-Boo Pictures!

Fellow quarantine parents: We know the struggle of balancing social interactions while prioritizing safety all too well.  

Getting our babies to meet and see loved ones throughout this past year has been tough, to say the least. Video calls have been a big help, but I'm always on the lookout for unique ways to help my daughter recognize family members without technology. 

Peekaboo Pictures has certainly been one of our favorites! It just takes a few materials: 

What You'll Need:

• Photos of Family and Friends

• Sticky Notes

• Painters' Tape** 

**Fellow Bullet Journalers...I know you have A TON of washi tape lying around. The first time I did this activity, I thought it'd make sense to use some of my old patterns to hand my pictures on the wall. I don't recommend this! While it comes off easily without leaving marks or residue, it made pulling pictures down WAY too easy and pretty much ruined the activity. Definitely opt for some stronger painter's tape instead. It worked best when I put the tape in all four corners.

STEP 1:

First, scatter pictures all over a blank wall. 

Be sure to safeguard any outlets and clear away any objects that might get in baby's way. 

You may not want to use the photos kept in your family album, because these will likely get a bit damaged. It's all in the name of fun though! Save yourself the heartache and print out a few extra photos. 

STEP 2:

Next, cover faces with sticky notes. 

Remember to say names out loud for your baby each time a new face is revealed. Talk about each person. Tell them a memory. It's always a great idea to talk with our LOs as much as we can. 

I definitely recommend using different pictures of the same people. The more repetition the better!
