About

What is Sheer MomSense?

Few professions teach you more about the "dos and don'ts" of parenting quite like Elementary School Teacher. After years in the classroom trenches, I've seen quite a lot. Now as I become a parent myself, I'm ready to put what I've learned to the test! There are no multiple choice answers for mommies, but we certainly pull all-nighters.

Sill, no matter how messy life may seem at times,
all it takes is a little "Mom Sense" to get us through. ❤

My goal is to teach children how to be happy, well-rounded, motivated, and curious learners. From what I've seen, a lot of it comes down to having a bit of common sense. Easier said than done? I'll soon find out, and I invite you to join me!

About Me

Hello! My name is Jessica from the fast-paced state of New Jersey. My husband and I are first-time parents to our gorgeous baby girl. I've been an upper elementary school teacher for the past seven years while also working as my school district's K-5 Science Coach for colleagues. Now a virtual tutor, TPT resource creator, and blogger, I'm loving my new busy career as a stay-at-home mommy.

You'll often find me keeping up with my handy bullet journal, cooking a classic dish for dinner, or curled up with either a book or a baking competition show. Although I am a '90s baby who jammed out to Backstreet Boys and work diligently to keep my Tamagotchi alive, I wouldn't describe myself as the stereotypical millennial. I was raised by a large Italian-American family with rather strict values. However, that healthy mix of old and new school thinking has helped shaped much of who I am and who I strive to be.
